Lake Jennings is a recreational facility providing fishing, camping, hiking, and picnicking activities. The campground is open seven days a week year round. The entire lake is typically open to the general public for fishing three days a week on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. On days that the lake is closed, fishing permits are available at the campground entrance station between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Fishing hours on those days is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is limited to the shoreline directly below the campground. Operating hours are subject to change. For those intending to fish, you must possess a state fishing license and purchase a daily lake fishing permit. State fishing licenses are not available for purchase at Lake Jennings. They must be obtained prior to visiting the lake. You may acquire a California fishing license online from the California Department of Fish and Game website. All persons under the age of 16 must be acccompanied by an adult at all times on Lake Jennings property.

The 97-space Lake Jennings Campground is open year-round for campers. The campground, located on the north side of Lake Jennings, has spaces for RVs, trailers, campers and tents. Campground reservations can be made through our online reservation system or by calling 619-390-1623.
There is a day use fee for sight-seeing, hiking or picnicking per person.
