Picnicking at Lake Jennings
If you’re looking to enjoy a real outdoor experience for just an hour or the whole day, grab your picnic basket and head for Lake Jennings. Come out and enjoy one of our many beautiful picnicking spots, located around the lake in scenic areas such as Cloister Cove, Siesta Point, Hermit Cove, and Eagle Point. Some provide barbecues, while others are best suited for a cold lunch.
Life’s a Picnic
Bring your family and friends, relax in the shade, and enjoy the serenity of Lake Jennings. Take in the beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains, as well as the abundant wildlife, including deer, fox, and osprey, just to name a few.
Picnic areas are open during the week on Sentry Point below the campground as well as during normal lake operating hours of Friday, Saturday and Sunday around the entire lake. The cost to access the lake for picnicking includes your parking pass.
Picnic Area Reservations
Get ready for an unforgettable gathering by the lake! Select picnic areas are open for reservations during operating hours from February to October. Each shaded picnic area comes with two picnic tables, a BBQ grill, nearby parking, and is perfect for your group of up to 20 people. Restrooms or portable toilets are located nearby. Book your picnic area for a minimum of 4 hours with the flexibility to add more time as needed. Cornhole, Bocce Ball, and Horseshoe rentals are available at the Bait Shop and Campground Kiosk. Let the good times roll!
